In order to call time on the annual wastage of 89 million tonnes of food in the EU, the Commission has launched a public consultation on the European food production and consumption system, to run until 1 October. The analysis of the contributions will inform the communication on sustainable food the Commission is planning to present before the end of the year. (AN/transl.fl)
