Four state aid measures get go-ahead

Brussels, 15/05/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 15 May, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to four state aid measures.

It has given the green light to: - public co-financing of 1.1 million Danish kroner (some €148 million) for building a multi-function complex in Copenhagen; - state aid from France of €39.8 million for the “Genesys” research programme on third generation bio-refineries; - state aid from Italy in the form of a government investment in Groupe Ferrarini, controlled by NewCo; - state aid of 400 million zlotys (around €100 million) for LOT airlines in Poland. The Polish aid has been granted temporary authorisation while the Commission examines the restructuring plan for LOT to be submitted by the government by 20 June 2013. (OL/transl.fl)
