Brussels, 10/12/2012 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission adopted two programmes for supporting the fisheries and aquaculture sectors and modernising public administration in Algeria. The amount allocated totals €45 million. The Algerian press and the APS agency referred to a European Commission press statement that has not been released in Brussels. The decision is said to have been taken in the sidelines of last week's Association Council session.
The two programmes were devised within the framework of the “economic diversification” of the country, during the Association Council. They will be funded out of the indicative national programme for Algeria for the 2011-2013 period, which has a total budget of €172 million. (FB/transl.fl)
