03/07/2012 (Agence Europe) - The article “EU confronted with loss of credibility” contained an error. In paragraph 3, it says no one listens to the Europeans in the G20, the IMF or the World Bank any more because either they all say exactly the same thing or they adopt positions that are at odds with one another. The sentence should have continued: “and the solution cannot come by simply replacing the European representatives with the Commission, given the huge loss of credibility of the European institutions”. We would also like to clarify what was said at the end of that paragraph: Mr Lamy said that, after long being a supporter of the Community method, he has now become an agnostic in the debate between the Community and intergovernmental methods.
