GEF, to reduce health inequalities

Brussels, 16/02/2012 (Agence Europe) - The network EuroHealthNet, which represents associations active in public health and prevention matters, and the University of Brighton have published a tool to create greater fairness in healthcare issues, for children and their families. This tool, the Gradient Evaluation Framework (GEF), which was developed as part of the GRADIENT project, comprises a raft of initiatives, procedures and mechanisms applicable to public health care policies, specific healthcare policy initiatives (such as nutrition programmes in schools), and also to policies with potential impact on health equality (education, employment and agricultural sectors).
