European Parliament approves Croatia's accession to EU

Brussels, 01/12/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 1 December, the European Parliament gave its consent by a large majority to Croatia joining the European Union, with 564 votes in favour, 38 against and 32 abstentions. MEPs then gave members of the Croatian parliament present in the plenary chamber a standing ovation.
