Brussels, 25/11/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 24 November, Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Commissioner Stefan Füle underlined that, in order to “advance in the EU integration process, it is essential that all political forces - majority and opposition, as well as the whole society, embrace the European agenda and turn it into a national agenda”. His statement was made after a meeting with the leader of the Albanian Socialist Party, Edi Rama. Füle also expressed his appreciation for the role that the Socialist Party is ready to play to support the European perspective for Albania.
The ruling majority and the opposition in Albania reached agreement in mid-November to begin work together on electoral reform and review of the parliament's rules of procedure. (CG/transl.jl)
