Krakow, 17/10/2011 (Agence Europe) - At the informal Council of European sports ministers, Poland, which currently holds the rotating Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the EU, described sports promotion as a social integrator. It has launched its national programme to take action against social exclusion, entitled “My Pitch Orlik 2012”. Amongst other things, the programme consists of building a minimum of 2012 sports facilities, at least one in each Polish commune, for activities to be accessible to the largest possible number of people at the lowest possible price. The total cost of the project is €300 million, to be paid for by the Polish government. (VW/transl.fl)
