Brussels, 20/05/2011 (Agence Europe) - The General Affairs Council is to meet on Monday 23 May in the late afternoon under the chairmanship of Hungarian Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi. The following items will be on the agenda: - Preparation of the European Council of 23-24 June. Three main subjects will be on the summit agenda: economy (conclusion of the European semester), migration policy, state of progress of accession talks with Croatia; - Strategy for Roma integration. The Council will hold a policy debate on the basis of a report prepared by the Hungarian Presidency (to be forwarded to the next European Council) on ways to better integrate the Roma population in member state society; - and the Charter of Fundamental Rights. Ministers will adopt conclusions on implementation of the Charter. (H.B./transl.jl)
