11/05/2011 (Agence Europe) - Extension of taxes on North American biodiesel. The EU announced in the Official Journal of 11 May that it was stepping up anti-dumping measures against biodiesel imported from North America. With US biodiesel managing to get round EU measures by transiting through Canada, the Union will now impose anti-dumping duties on biodiesel imported from Canada, whether pure or in a blend containing by weight 20% or less of biodiesel and whether produced in Canada or not. Taxes will continue to be imposed on biodiesel imported from the United States, whether pure or blended, and no matter the percentage in the final blend. (E.H./transl.rt)
