28/04/2011 (Agence Europe) - Buzek condemns death sentence in Bahrain. The president of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, has called on the authorities of Bahrain to review the death sentences delivered against four demonstrators that took part in the protest movement there. In a press release, Buzek considers that the conditions for a fair trial had not been met. He pointed out that the EU is opposed to the death penalty in all cases and in all circumstances.
