Brussels, 09/03/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 9 March, the EP adopted a resolution welcoming the 17 December 2010 European Council's agreement to accept Montenegro as an official EU candidate country. The EP “expects the negotiations to start at the latest after the publication of the 2011 Commission Progress Report, provided Montenegro makes good progress in fulfilling the benchmarks set by the Commission.” (H.B./transl.fl)
