Brussels, 10/02/2011 (Agence Europe) - At the management committee meeting on Thursday 10 February, the Commission suggested that, in order to address the difficulties being experienced on the European sugar market (very high prices because of a shortage of sugar), the sale of 500,000 tonnes of out-of-quota sugar (for food purposes) should be authorised on the internal market.
