07/02/2011 (Agence Europe) - Strong support at WTO for Afghan accession. The chair of the World Trade Organisation's working group on Afghanistan' accession, Dutch ambassador Boudejwin J. Van Eenenaam, has highlighted the role of cooperation with Afghanistan and getting it to join world trade as a way of ensuring the security and well-being of the local population. He was speaking at the first assessment of Afghanistan's trade set-up, attended by Afghan foreign minister Anwar-ul-Haq Ahady, on 31 January 2011.
