16/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - EMI welcomes Parliament result. The European Movement International (EMI) hailed the result of the European Parliament vote on the regulation implementing the citizens' initiative (see EUROPE 10278). In a press release, the EMI called for the Council of Ministers of the EU to adopt the regulation as quickly as possible, so that the first citizens' initiative can be launched from the beginning of 2012.
