01/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - Regional airlines want to cooperate with Russia. According to Mike Ambrose, the secretary general of the European Regional Airlines Association, Russia should “reduce” the complexity and bureaucracy associated with purchasing aircraft, if it wants to benefit from the potential of international aeronautical co-operation. Speaking on Tuesday 30 November, at the conference on new prospects for co-operation in the transport field between the EU and Russia, Ambrose also encouraged the Russian authorities to simplify and speed up procedures for approving new routes and new operators and maintain an appropriate security framework.
