01/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - Two Italians win European journalism prize. The winners of the second EU health prize for journalists were announced in Brussels on Tuesday 30 November. Two Italian journalists, Gianluca Ferraris and Ilaria Molinari, writing for Panorama, won first prize for their joint article “Stealing Hope”, which puts the spotlight on “healing clinics” that offer expensive, but unproven, therapies to vulnerable patients suffering from chronic diseases. Second prize went to Czech journalist, Lucie Hásová Truhelková for her article on organ donation, “Love Dwells in the Kidney”. Four Danish journalists from Berlingske Tidende, Kasper Krogh, Morten Crone, Line Holm Nielsen and Jesper Woldenhof, came third for their article “The Great Failure”. (L.C./transl.rt)
