More relevant vocational training

Brussels, 19/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 19 November, the Council adopted conclusions on the priorities of enhanced European cooperation in education and vocational training (EVT) for 2011-2020, as part of the so-called “Copenhagen” process. They give a global vision of EVT in 2020 with a view to creating a more relevant, more attractive European system that promotes the mobility of students, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, with better professional outlets. The Copenhagen process initiated in 2002 brings together the national authorities and social partners of 32 countries in order to develop measures in the field of education and vocational training. Every two years, an informal meeting of education ministers is held. The next will be on 7 December in Bruges and work will be in line with conclusions adopted on Friday. (I.L./transl.jl)
