The European Commission is expected on Wednesday 17 November to adopt a communication on energy infrastructure priorities for 2002-2030, the broad thrust of which was reported by EUROPE in its newsletter of 15 October (EUROPE 10236). This chapter on infrastructure, which makes provision for a detailed plan for an integrated European energy network, is directly related to the second priority of the energy strategy for 2020 presented last week by Energy Commissioner Günther Oettinger (see EUROPE 10254).
