MEPs want to protect victims of violent crime anywhere in Europe

Brussels, 01/10/2010 (Agence Europe) - The victims of violent crime should be protected if they travel to a different member state, announced the European Parliament's women's rights and civil liberties committee on Wednesday 29 September, adopting by 64 to 1 with 6 abstentions more than 150 amendments on a draft EU protection plan. The proposal covers violence against women but any other victim, irrespective of age or sex should also have the same protection, argue Spanish rapporteurs...
