Commission tries to bring end to over-exploitation of mackerel stocks by Iceland and Faroe Isles

Brussels, 25/08/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has no intention of allowing itself to be pushed around, after Iceland and the Faroe Isles, flying in the face of all agreements among the parties, decided to allocate themselves excessively high mackerel quotas in the North-East Atlantic for 2010. “These two countries are overfishing mackerel.
