30/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission and the International Mobile Satellite Operation (IMSO) signed a memorandum of understanding on 12 July on cooperation in the field of maritime security. Cooperation is expected to cover in particular the exchange of and access to information. Both parties are also involved in implementing the system for long range identification and tracking (LRIT) within the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). (A.By./transl.jl)
