Brussels, 30/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 26 July, the EU signed the convention to put in place a new regional organisation for the management of fish stocks other than tuna in the South Pacific. The convention will fill a substantial international void in conservation and fisheries management. Migratory fish stocks are, of course, already managed and marine biodiversity is offered protection in the high seas zone of the South Pacific.
