15/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - Supported for the first time by the European Commission on the political and financial fronts, the French manufacturers' association, Unifab, this week launched an information campaign against counterfeiting, entitled “Stop au faux!”. It was launched in collaboration with similar counter-counterfeiting associations in four countries of the EU - APM in Germany, Andema in Spain and Indicam in Italy - being intended for summer visitors and economic players in these four countries. The aim is to keep the public better informed of the economic and social, health, commercial, environmental and criminal consequences of the trade in counterfeit products. In parallel to the Unifab campaign, reinforced customs control operations are foreseen at French borders. (E.H./transl.jl)
