Brussels, 03/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission recently adopted a recommendation in which it calls on the Council of Ministers of the EU to authorise negotiations with China for an agreement on the protection of geographical indications for wines, spirits, agricultural products and foodstuffs. Dacian Cioloº, European Commissioner for Agriculture, is hoping that the go-ahead for these negotiations will be given next September, when he visits China.
