Germany, Austria and Portugal sent to European Court of Justice over discriminatory tax rules

Brussels, 03/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 3 June, the European Commission decided to sent three member states, Germany, Austria and Poland, to the European Court of Justice for infringing EU tax legislation. A) Austria will have to explain why its rules require foreign banks and some foreign investment funds to appoint Austrian-established tax representatives.
