EP wants electronic invoices to be on equal footing with normal paper invoices

Brussels, 05/05/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 5 May, the European Parliament adopted without any amendments an own initiative advisory report by David Casa (EPP, Malta) on the EU directive changing value-added tax (VAT) rules for invoicing (see EUROPE 10083), and it welcomed the basic thrust of the new directive to cut red tape for business.
