Enquiry into compensation paid by Greek agricultural insurance organisation

Brussels, 27/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 27 January, the European Commission decided to launch a formal investigation procedure into compensation payments made by the Greek Agricultural Insurance Organisation (ELGA) to producers in 2008 and 2009. The Commission doubts whether the aid is compatible with the common market.
