Measures taken by Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia and Malta satisfactory - New deadlines for Malta and Lithuania

Brussels, 27/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is satisfied by the actions taken by Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia and Malta to correct their excessive deficits. These countries have taken effective measures in line with the recommendations of the Council of the EU adopted six months ago (EUROPE 9937), it noted on Wednesday 27 January.
