Brussels, 27/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 27 November, the Council of Europe announced the signing of an agreement with a view to developing cooperation on intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region with the Al-Jaber Foundation, a charity based in London founded by Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber, a British self-made businessman who operates in the hotel and agri-food sector.
The Council points out that, in line with the recommendations and guidelines presented in the White Paper on intercultural dialogue, the partnership between the Council of Europe and the MBI Al Jaber Foundation will place emphasis on strengthening Euro-Arab cooperation and the promotion of education and human rights, the pre-eminence of law, democratic citizenship and intercultural understanding.
