Brussels, 25/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 25 November, the European Parliament awarded the 2009 LUX Prize to the film “Welcome” by French director Philippe Lioret. The other films in the running for the prize were “Eastern Plays” and “Sturm”. MEPs were won over, however, by “Welcome”, in which the issue of illegal immigration is handled very delicately.
