EP approves mobilisation of European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Ireland and Belgium

Brussels, 25/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption, on Wednesday 25 November in Strasbourg, of the report by Reimer Böge (EPP, Germany) on the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund, the European Parliament approved the release of €24.029 million from the 2009 budget (in commitment and payment appropriations) in favour of two EU countries. €9.19 million will be granted to Belgium in respect of redundancies in the textiles sector, and €14.83 million will go to...
