EU27 reaffirm determination to reach diplomatic solution on nuclear dossier - for reinforced EU action in Afghanistan and Pakistan

Brussels, 30/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration on Iran annexed to the European conclusions, the EU27 reaffirmed on Friday 30 October their determination to reach a diplomatic solution on the Iranian nuclear programme. The European Council calls on Iran to fully cooperate with the IAEA and to accept the outline for providing nuclear fuel proposed for Tehran's research reactor in response to its needs in medical-use isotopes.
