03/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 27 and 28 September, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is holding a conference in Brussels on “Intergovernmental Conference: organised civil society has its say on the future of Europe”. The conference will be opened by EESC President Dimitris Dimitriadis. Speakers will include Commission Vice President Margot Wallström, Portuguese Secretary of State for European Affairs Manuel Lobo Antunes and President of the Committee of the Regions Michel Delebarre. Former Vice President of the Convention on the future of Europe and MEP Jean-Luc Dehaene will speak on “From the Declaration of Laeken to the amending treaty”.
