23/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Council of Ministers of the EU adopted a decision on 3 August, which provides an exemption to protocol 4 on the definition of where products are said to originate from and administrative cooperation methods of the euro-Mediterranean agreement establishing an association between the EU and Morocco. Pending the entry into force of the Morocco-Turkey free-trade agreement, which was signed on 7 April 2004, and of the modification to the EU-Morocco protocol on rules of origin, this derogation will allow clothing to be made in Morocco from fabric originating from Turkey, with a view to its export to the Community. This decision was published in the Official Journal L 206 of 9 August 2005.
