31/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Franco-German Co-operation Treaty the Mouvement des entreprises de France (Medef), the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) nd the Bndesvereiningung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbande published a memorandum entitled "Let's move forward Europe" in which they, notably, ask their governments to enhance European competitiveness by lightening the weight of excessive constraints, engage in reforms of the labour market and social security, intensify economic co-operation (thanks to the euro), and, with the future Constitutional Treaty, ensure Europe's capacity to act (Information: http://www.medef.fr ).
