31/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - Next week, Alain Lambert, French Minister delegated to the budget and budgetary reform will open a colloquium on the theme 'Mastering of public spending: common requirements and different solutions within an enlarged Europe.' Representatives from ten candidate countries will take part in the debate, on 6 and 7 February, in Paris: from the head of structural funds in Lithuania to the advisor to the Bulgarian Finance Minister, from the Romanian internal control and audit Director to the Czech Deputy Prime Minister. On 6 February, Claude Sardais, Inspector General for Finance, will lead the debates on financial control and crucial tools to avoid 'budgetary slips.' On 7 February, the discussions, which will be introduced by Daniel Morel, President of the ADETEF, will cover European structural funds and the efforts to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements of the Stability Pact.
