02/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - Hewitt Associates, in collaboration with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will be organising a seminar on 6 May in Brussels on recent EU developments in the field of occupational pensions. The seminar will focus on the following theme, "Towards Pan-European Pensions: Progress, Myth and Reality" and will be opened by Giacomo Regaldo and Jan Erik Anders Olsson, respective chairmen of the Economic and Social Sections of the EESC. Leonardo Sforza, Head of EU affairs at Hewitt Associates, will be making a presentation on current weaknesses of the EU regulatory framework. Participants will also include, Jean-Yves Muylle (European Commission), Harry Byrne (Member of the Committee), José Carlos Garcia Quevedo (Spanish Presidency) and Beatrice Hertogs (European Unions).
