19/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - Schelling elected Chairman of EIB Board of Governors. The eurozone finance ministers have elected their Austrian counterpart, Hans-Jörg Schelling, as Chairman of the European Investment Bank's (EIB) Board of Governors. They have also approved the EIB's accounts for 2014, during which the EIB granted €77 billion in loans to support investment across Europe and around the world. The EIB is the world's largest multilateral lending institution and the largest supranational issuer of bonds on global capital markets. (MB)
