26/07/2012 (Agence Europe) - Purchase of a building by CNP and Cardif Assurance. On 26 July, the European Commission authorised the purchase of an office block in Charenton-le-Pont (France) by CNP Assurances (health insurance, borrowers' insurance, retirement accounts and provident fund - France) and Cardif Assurance Vie, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas. The Commission decided that the operation would not significantly affect competition in the European Economic Area (EEA). The activities of the two parties do not overlap significantly on the domestic own office asset management market. The Commission was notified of the operation on 22 June 2012. (FG/transl.rt)
