27/05/2011 (Agence Europe) - Between national decentralisation and European federalism. On the eve of the second round of municipal elections on Sunday 29 May, the Italian political debate turns to the hypothesis of decentralising a number of ministries. Nonetheless, in a press release, the president of the Italian committee of the European Federalist Movement, Pier Virgilio Dastoli, points out the three European federalist priorities of Italy: - having a “control room” for all economic and social intervention, working on the major priorities of the next EU Council presidency (second half 2014), and strengthening interregional cooperation with other EU countries and with the southern Mediterranean.
