Commission contemplates 15-month extension of duties against Chinese and Vietnamese footwear

Brussels, 09/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - Trade Commissioner Catherine Ashton is preparing to recommend that the EU27 extend by 15 months the 16.5% and 10% antidumping duty that has been imposed since October 2006 on imports of leather-topped shoes from China and Vietnam respectively. This decision is expected to cause anger in the European industry, represented by the European Footwear Alliance (EFA), which defends the interests of brands such as Adidas, Puma, Lotto, Camper, Diesel, Levi's...
