Committee of the Regions takes stance in favour of EU Danube strategy

Brussels, 07/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - At its plenary session on Wednesday 7 October, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) adopted the own-initiative report on EU Danube strategy presented by Wolfgang Reinhart (EPP, Germany), European Affairs Minister of the Land of Baden-Württemberg. Speaking in favour of such a strategy, the Committee suggests concrete fields of action ranging from the development of transport infrastructure and crossborder cooperation in flood protection to joint concepts...
