Commission welcomes Microsoft's proposal to respond to fears of "tied sales" of Internet Explorer software

Brussels, 07/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Commission appears satisfied with measures proposed by the information software giant Microsoft, on Wednesday 7 October, to resolve the problem of the tied sales of its web browser with its Windows operating system. Amongst other things, Microsoft has proposed to include a window in its system, which would appear on initial start-up and offer the user a choice of web browsers.
