Ashton optimistic about agreement with South Korea and pleased with WTO meeting results in Delhi and visit to China

Brussels, 15/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - In response to questions from members of the European Parliament's International Trade Committee (chaired by Vital Moreira (S&D, Portugal) about the impact of the bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) between the EU and South Korea on European industry and jobs, Catherine Ashton confidently outlined the positive gains from the agreement on the European economy (for a summary, EUROPE 9950).
