Brussels, 07/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 4 September, the European Commission gave the go-ahead to two take-over projects. The first consists of taking joint control of Manucor S.p.A., the Italian manufacturer of bi-oriented polypropylene film (BOPP), by fellow Italian companies, Intesa San Paolo bank and the Reno de Medici, a firm specialising in the production and sale of cartonboard based from recycled materials. The second unrelated concentration involves the take-over of certain activities of Dutch company, OneCarbon International B.V. by Orbéo. The latter specialises in greenhouse gas emissions trading and will take over the AVT and CCD companies. OneCarbon subsidiaries are active in emissions trading consultancy and the purchasing and reselling of these rights. The two acquisitions were approved by simplified procedure on Friday.
