17/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 17 July 2009, the European Commission cleared the planned acquisition of Loos by Bosch Thermotechnik. Both are German boiler manufacturers. The Commission argues that as the two companies' markets are relatively distant from each other (Bosch operates in the domestic market and Loos in the industrial sector), the deal would not cause any overlap likely to damage competition.
