24/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - Pierre Lellouche, a UMP parliamentary delegate and up until now France's Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, has become the French Secretary of State for European Affairs. A convinced supporter of NATO and specialist in defence and Alliance related questions, Mr Lellouche takes over from Bruno Le Maire, who now has the portfolio for agriculture. (H.B./transl.rh)
