Brussels, 03/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 3 June, the European Commission approved an aid scheme notified by France after storm Klaus, which crossed the south-west of the country on 24 January 2009 and devastated forests. The compensation scheme provides for a total budget of approximately €800 million.
