Brussels, 03/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 3 June, the European Commission decided to propose that 2011 be designated as the "European Year of Volunteering". The Commission proposes to allocate a budget of €6 million for the European Year and an additional amount of €2 million for the preparatory actions starting in 2010.
